The Regional Park of Stirone and Piacenziano represents an extraordinary natural, cultural and palaeontological heritage shared by 9 municipalities in the provinces of Parma and Piacenza.
This is an area whose potential has not been fully expressed and exploited so far: for this reason the Municipality of Fidenza, the Municipality of Salsomaggiore and Parchi del Ducato have decided to undertake a participatory process with Ascolto Attivo in order to focus on a new identity of the place that can keep together all the elements that characterize it in a single project vision.
The process was financed by the Emilia-Romagna Region’s 2019 Call for Participation, resulting in one of the best winning projects.
The project was developed between February and December 2020, combining live initiatives with others on online platforms. After the launch meeting, a cycle of webinars with experts and environmentalists was conducted between June and July. In September, activities resumed with the bicycle in the park and the Future Lab, which led to the creation of a shared vision on the future of the Stirone Park. The meeting with the technicians of the Municipality of Fidenza for the design of the new access to the Park, the Open Space Technology and the Workshop for the Action Plan took place again online.
